剧情简介: This short stars Sid Smith, Madge Kirby and Paul Parrott. While forgotten today, Paul Parrott (real name James Parrott) was Charley Chase's brother and he directed a ton of great films for Hal Roach Studios (including films by Laurel & Hardy). His giving up his career as a silent comedian was, in hindsight, a great idea. This is one of his acting jobs before going behind the camera.A shyster lawyer (Parrott) sees that a guy wants to buy a car. Oddly, he steps in to sell him his. Why? Because he plans on arranging an accident so he can sue to poor guy (Smith). So far, this doesn't sound so much like a comedy but a real life drama! After arranging an accident and a supposed victim, things look bad for poor Sid. What follows is a bit confusing--but it appears that Parrott is really interested in getting Madge for himself.BTW this movie was made in 1923...NOT 1919 as IMDb says.It's a silly trifle of a movie interesting for seeing locations of early Hollywood
