剧情简介: Bent on emigrating illegally to the United States of America, or the Promised Land, according to him, the impecunious toiler, Thanassis, has only managed to accomplish one thing: get back to square one after each failed attempt. One day, to lend him a helping hand, his wise neighbour, Nikiforos, mentions a certain "Thanassis" who can make his dream come true; however, to find the elusive benefactor, Thanassis must first abandon his former happy-go-lucky lifestyle. But, instead, Thanassis has a chance encounter with the desperate young woman, Elpida, and just like that, his life takes an unexpected turn. Will carefree Thanassis finally find happiness?
