剧情简介: This is an Italian rendition freely based on Rafael Sabatini novel . Swashbuckler set in France and made in in short budget . Scaramouche : Christian Hay , is a stage actor and audacious lover , as well as a skilled swordsman . At the beginning Scaramouche saves a woman from some nasty swordsmen who attempt to murder her , she is really a powerful countesss and Queen's friend . Along the way Scaramouche plays on stage with his troupe and his girlfriend : Freyberg , who wishes anxiously to marry him. Then Scaramouche is hired by a countess : Erna Schurer to avoid a scheme carried out by cunning conspirators. As Scaramouche poses as an English duke to crack the plot of a group of aristocrats , The Fronda , that want to rule over by killing the heir King, the kid Louis XIV , and the Regent Queen Anna of Austria : Milly Vitale and Cardinal Mazarino .This costumer contains overwhelming action, comedy , intrigue , romance , mayhem and a lot of fencing . A light and low budgeted recounting about Rafael Sabatini novel , though it doesn't follow the ordinary canon . Stars the unknown Christian Hay of brief cinematic career giving a sympathetic performance . Being accompanied by three beautiful girls : Freyberg , Erna Schurer and Milly Vitale as Queen Anna . It displays a jolly and lively musical score by Carlo Savina . Though packs lousy cinematography by Silvio Froschetti, due to the film copy is washed-out, being really necessary a perfect remastering . The motion picture was middlingly but professionally directed by the Italian adventures expert Piero Pierotti .
