  • 剧情简介: Report from Russia (1944) ** 1/2 (out of 4) This here was just one of many shorts that were produced during WWII to keep Americans up-to-date on what was going on overseas. This one here really plays out more like a newsreel than anything else but I found it to be mildly entertaining for what it was. We start off hearing about Russia and the importance they brought to the table when it came down to take on the Nazis. From here we learn about how the Russian women, the old and children stood up to help on the farm land while the men were fighting. From here we basically are shown and learn how the people at home had very important roles that they played so that the men could fight the war. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking here but if you're a WWII buff then you should find this of interest just because of the footage from Russia. The message is certainly a good one and the film does pay respects to some people who are often forgotten for their efforts.
