剧情简介: Refugees need their camp-based education to be recognised upon repatriation to Burma. Current Burmese Government policy says that this will not happen and refugees will have to sit entrance in an often unfamiliar language based on an unfamiliar curriculum. But this approach will almost certainly create problems for refugees, not solve them and contributes to challenging any meaningful interpretation of international humanitarian principles that refugee repatriation be voluntary and with dignity. The government stance on refugees also calls into question its commitment to genuine and inclusive national education reform. Because of sensitivities regarding these issues, Recognise our Education Realise our Dreams has been denied Burmese media coverage, the opportunity for screening in Burma and/or presentation to appropriate Burmese authorities. But refugee concerns are legitimate: their voices must to be heard.
