  • 剧情简介: It looks like peasants dancing in their holiday finery, the women wearing long skirts, the men britches and flowered hats. They set into pairs and walk in a circle, while the fiddler plays.They also look pretty bored, which makes me think that it took Pathe's cameramen a lot of time and effort to shoot this one satisfactorily. The modern viewer will look at this and think that as little effort went into making this as the results warrant, that someone with a camera the size and difficulty of handling of a cel phone wandered by, thought this was interesting, and recorded it.Not so! Movie cameras were bulky, the time for shooting had to be carefully set because oall light came from the sun, and getting the rigt vantage point for the camera was a tricky affair. The dancers had probably been hanging around for days anddancing for half that time.
