Plot: For opera lovers, or indeed anyone,this is a truly lovely movie. Scored delightfully with Verdi's music from La Traviata, the story focuses on a taxi driver in Japan transporting an opera singer whose plane has been grounded by heavy snow.During the course of the journey he tells how he was personally involved in a Traviata type story in his own life.The parallels are cleverly scripted with an interesting resolution. The sad thing is that I only have an old TV copy on VHS and all attempts to purchase a DVD have failed.It seems to have vanished ? I would love a re-mastered copy of this film.Does anyone know where it may be available ?
