  • Plot: "Davy" Crockett, whose motto was "Be Sure You're Right, Then Go Ahead." Story opens with Davy's home. Next we see Blake and Anna, who arrive to have saddle girth mended. Davy a backwoods man mends girth, while the young lady reads a poem of young Lochinvar to him. They fall in love with each other. Later Davy sees storm arising, and follows them. They are about to be lost in the storm, when Davy rescues them from the wolves, after finding them exhausted. Later is shown where Anna is about to be married on the lawn of her Father's house to Blake, whom she now hates, when Davy rides in, grabs Anna, pulls her on the horse and rides away to a Country parson's house, marries Anna, takes her home to his own cabin, and says, "Mother, I have brought you a daughter."
