Plot: Despite being a prevalent theme in straight films, Nazis never seem to have taken off much in gay porn, probably due to their real-life attempt at exterminating the target audience. It's hard to keep an erection when you're thinking about being murdered in a concentration camp.All of which is to say that gay Nazi porn is probably doomed from the start, not that GOLDEN BOYS OF THE S.S. makes a very elegant case for it. If anything, the best defense one can offer is that the film embraces bad taste openly, stuffing itself with enough fisting, urolagnia and other obscenities to at least counter its threadbare story's inherent tedium. The plot, such as it is, concerns an SS henchmen and his underlings using various forms of degradation and sexual torture to coax some vaguely defined piece of strategic information out of captured members of the Allied Forces. One curly- haired guy (with a Star of David crudely drawn on his butt), is led around like a dog for the duration of the film, while others are tied up, whipped and given forcible enemas. Unfortunately, all of this is far less interesting than it sounds.Among the few bright points are some halfway decent gestures at set dressing (the film takes place in a somewhat intimidating dungeon, and the costumes in general aren't bad). There's a brief detour outside that provides a welcome change of scenery, and the film moves at a fairly rapid clip, though unfortunately grinds to a halt in its final sex scene, which attempts to keep way too many plates spinning at the same time. The cast is almost uniformly unattractive, though one blonde cutie does show up near the end to serve as the recipient of a spectacularly lengthy Crisco-slathered fisting administered on a clearly identifiable stunt butt (check the tattoo and compare with the torture victim in the beginning). Overall, the most the film really has going for it is its title, along with a desire to at least try to match it in terms of sleazy depravity. However, it's largely much ado about nothing, and anyone seeking a particularly notable lost entry in the Nazisploitation cycle is advised to keep searching elsewhere.
