Plot: Reluctantly, the kind, hard-working, and self-made green-grocer, Meletis Kaplanis, agrees to marry off Mary, his refined and Switzerland-educated sister, to the aspiring politician, Thanassakis Govotsos. However, after three failed campaigns in a row, Meletis is in for an unpleasant surprise when he finds out that his ambitious future-brother-in-law has eaten up Mary's dowry to run for office.
