Plot: Having seen director Roger Harts' poorly made DUNGEON OF LUST, I was confirmed in my belief that he was a hack by viewing SALLY'S PALACE OF DELIGHT, a pointless XXX exercise about a brothel.It's one of those bait & switch junkers, featuring quite attractive Mira Vane (stage name here: "Shell") as the title Madam, who never gets down or even unclothed for the duration.Instead we have random scenes in bedrooms of her apartment, where customers are being serviced by her crew of gigolos. Yes, she's the madam of a whorehouse whose employees are male, catering to the needs of relatively young women rather than the expected MILF population (I was going to type "MILFs", but I just watched the horrible teen comedy MILF which has a dull scene that goes to great pains to explain that the plural of MILF is MILF, just like in baseball: RBI.)The editing is horrendous, with no care whatsoever to set up the situation or knit together the XXX vignettes. First sex scene is mixed combo with a big-dicked Black guy (Britt Reed). His lady customer is played by "Celeste", not the all-time great porn actress of the '90s, but a 1-shot.There is no plot until 15 minutes into the movie, when the phone rings and Sally informs Britt it's a 60-year-old customer who wants to book him for Sunday, just to watch him make love to somebody else. Sounds like an easy gig.Steve Boyd, borrowed from the world of gay porn, plays Brad, who's fixed up with a domineering customer well-played by the wonderful Mimi Morgan. She lends a bit of class to the cheapo production, but the back & forth intended nasty banter between the two of them stinks, as Brad fumbles his dialog miserably. Their scene is harshly lit.A couple of phone calls later Sally is doing phone sex, talking dirty. Maybe if this were radio I'd be impressed, but for a movie that's simply not satisfying and a waste of the title star's talent.Ginger (played by 1-shot "Dora Doright") arrives, supposedly "sent by her mother", and is a lesbian, but gigolo "Peter Klein" masturbates in front of her, and then they have sex. He apparently is Sally's son. They're both asleep when Sally returns, and weeps in jealousy (?). Cynical ending has Sally returning to business as usual.Filler with a capital F, this quickie is the usual title in search of a movie -XXX garbage that served a purpose until the next one replaced it in the projection booth. Viewed over 30 years later it is fascinating how low the standards were, but ironically they are constantly being lowered even further as the public's insatiable demand for raw sex on screen (now LCD screen) persists regardless of quality.
