Plot: After nearly three decades, the frivolous and failed businessman, Andreas Tependris, reunites with the successful entrepreneur, Nick Pearson--his old friend and comrade in arms from the Greco-Albanian War, in 1941. To help Andreas who is in grave financial jeopardy, Nick makes an adventurous but attractive proposition: Andreas is to pose as a well-off ship owner, and a sophisticated bon vivant to break into high-end social circles.
