Plot: Invisible for decades, the first movie with Arletty after her two years of forced inactivity (after the "epuration") gets released on dvd. And it's not a great jewel, Arletty doesn't appear very much and her dialogues aren't explosive. The director and screenwriter Serge Laroche is an amateur, his plot is confused and his direction is flat and uninventive. In fact, it's his only movie and it is the opposite of Arletty's previous movie, Les Enfants Du Paradis, which is a gigantic unforgettable masterpiece whereas this one is a completely minor nanar (except for Arletty's fans completists). If you enjoy french songs, Pierre Dudan is fine.But it remains a great surprise for the kids who played with Arletty 70 years ago in Mouans Sartoux and discover it only now.
