Plot: Toni Kowalski, a taxi-driver, has his favorite stop at Vienna's Opernring corner, where Mizzi and her father sell flowers and press. When Toni is mistakenly involved in an accident and looses his job, he earns his living singing at the nearby villages. Until wealthy Corinne makes him his protegée and trains him to become an opera singer. Little by little Toni is fascinated by her manners, so different from those of Mizzi and his own.
