Plot: "Começar de Novo" is the big love story of Miguel Arcanjo, a son of rich russian immigrants who came to the brazilian city Ouro Negro in search of fortune, and Letícia, the daughter of the mighty Lucrécia Borges. Lucrécia became the worst enemy of Mikhail Karamazov after he had become one of the most successful businessmen of Ouro Negro. She refused to accept the success of a foreigner and decided to do everything in order to separate her daughter from his son, Miguel. However, they loved each other. Miguel gave Letícia the half of a precious russian medal which his family had had for generations. The couple decided to elope, but unfortunately they were attacked by armed men who were sent to stop them from running away. Letícia was taken away and Miguel was severely injured. Miguel's parents rushed to the hospital to find their son, but were killed in a mysterious accident. When Ivan, a friend of Miguel's family heard about what had happened, he managed to find Miguel, who had lost his memory. Ivan decided to take Miguel to Russia in order to save his life. He gave Miguel a new identity: Andrei Ivanovich. He didn't tell Miguel about his past. In Russia Miguel/Andrei married a russian woman and had a daughter, Sonya. He became a rich and prosperous entrepreneur. In spiter of his big success, he couldn't find happiness. After 30 years, Miguel was invited to come to Brazil for business. He started having nightmares, and after a talk with his friend Dimitri, he reached a conclusion - he left a big love in Brazil. He then decided to go to Brazil and investigate about his past. Meanwhile, everybody in Ouro Negro thought that Miguel had died. Letícia married Miguel's friend Anselmo, who had always loved her, and gave birth to two sons: Pedro and Abel. Before coming to Brazil, Miguel meets a young brazilian actress named Júlia Moreno in Russia. They begin an affair to the delight of Júlia's ambitious brother, Carlos Moreno. After Miguel returns to Ouro Negro as Andrei, his presence begin to bother many people. One of them is Lucrécia, who decides to investigate about the mysterious man. Now is the moment when Miguel comes face to face with his past. Will he find his true identity? Will he revenge his enemies? Will he finally reunite with his big love?
