  • Plot: A portrait of the Kingdom of Bhutan, a little known independent country in the Himalayas. The film was first shown on National Public Television in 1982 and shows very rare black and white footage of the 1930s and 40s and 50s that show its history and traditions. The film also portrayed the lives of ordinary people of Bhutan and the film makers Dale Djerassi and Isabel Maxwell were Co-Directors and Co-Producers and Co-Cinematographers of the film. The late Michael Aris, husband of Aung San Suu Khi of Burma, and expert on Bhutan who had tutored the then King of Bhutan himself, was Adviser on the film and took part in it also with a main interview.
