  • Plot: This much to long movie has some nice stills and pictures, well shot scenes at quite interesting desolate places. That's all. Packed into a setup that reminds you of 60s and 70s sci-fi settings the movie tells the story of a journey into an abstract inner zone. The plot idea is pretty ridiculous, the actors are doing their job quite well. The atmosphere of the movie is very melancholic if not forlorn. Half through the movie I could no longer stand this tedious abstract art nonsense that tries to appear meta.philosophical and is annoying as hell. I just don't get it why German movies so often try to be as difficult and aloof as possible. One may find some truths or messages within the pictures or ideas shown here, I couldn't find anything that I had'nt seen before and done much better.Wouldn't recommend this to anyone except for German film students. After all it seems they all want to do movies that way instead of trying something new. Watching James Bennings 13 Lakes is more inspiring than this.
