  • Plot: This near-the-end Weiss Brothers silent short is actually fairly amusing as veteran comedy director Jess Robbins takes old pros Ben Turpin and Leo White through their paces. Although the story itself is tired -- Turpin is a street cleaner who gets mistaken for musically-inclined Count Leo -- with the usual title-hungry women out for him, this is a well-timed piece of work with the gags well executed, as Turpin stuffs a saxophone with tobacco and puffs on it.Notable in the cast is Addie McPhail, who would later be Roscoe Arbuckle's last wife. surviving him by seventy years. She is particularly amusing as the music-mad deb who keeps on pounding on he piano keys, singing like a Great Dane howling at the moon, oblivious to the destruction going on about her.
