Plot: In this comedy, Balu (Rajendra Prasad) is an aspiring singer who comes to Hyderabad. Next we meet four extremely unpleasant people, who are neighbours. In one house is Padmini (Seetha), and her daughter Chandra (K. Harathi), in the other house is Sarala (Kovai Sarala) and her daughter, Vandhana (Keerthi Chawla). There is rivalry and anger between the daughters at college: and also between the mothers, who argue with a vegetable seller about whom he should serve first. They are separated by Surali (Suman). Balu arrives on the scene, looking for one of the two houses. Surali tells him that both houses are his, and that the two women are his wives. Balu tells Surali that he has been sent by Surali's sister. Surali tells him that both households are looking for a servant, and that he should work in both. Neither women want him, but by devious means, Balu manages to become servant in both houses. One day, Balu rescues Vandhana from a rowdy at college who is trying to kiss her, and has to take on all the rowdy's friends, successfully. Vandhana falls in love with Balu, and wants to marry him. Chandra is jealous, and pays some rowdies to stage a rape attack (which turns into a real attack) so that Balu can (and he does) rescue her. She falls in love with Balu, and wants to marry him. Each of the mothers takes it as a personal challenge to get Balu to marry her daughter. Why did Surali get married twice? How will Balu solve the problem of whom to marry, or will he end up, like Surali, with two wives?
