  • Plot: This was another Soundie featuring vocalist Martha Tilton that I just discovered on YouTube. Accompanied by Bobby Sherwood's Orchestra in an obviously fake winter setting, Ms. Liltin' Tilton performs a duet with Gene Grounds in the title song while May Ross-who's obviously a professional skater-dances on skates during the instrumental break. The song's premise is obviously about how, despite the constant cold, both Martha and Gene sing how each others' presence make the days warmer. Oh, and besides the other musicians, there's plenty of pretty women in the background, just smiling. Like many other Soundies featuring Martha Tilton, this was produced by Sam Coslow but the director this time is Roy Mack. So on that note, Love Turns Winter to Spring is worth a look.
