Chad, who originally had a background in kick-boxing, started his career in the film industry as a stunt performer at the age of 24. Prior to that, he worked as an instructor at the Inosanto Martial Arts Academy in California where he taught Jeet Kune Do/Jun Fan. He then took on numerous roles in low budget martial arts films such as Mission of Justice (1992) and Bloodsport III (1996). However, his first big break as a stunt double came when he worked on the movie The Crow (1994) as the double for the late Brandon Lee, whom he had trained with at the Inosanto Academy. Following Brandon Lee’s tragic death, Chad was chosen as his stunt/photo double due to his close resemblance to Lee and his understanding of how he moved.

Chad’s career as a stuntman truly took off when he collaborated with Keanu Reeves on The Matrix (1999). He not only worked as a martial arts stunt coordinator for the sequels but also doubled for Keanu Reeves in extreme shots. Furthermore, Chad established a company called Smashcut with his stunt colleagues, which was responsible for creating cool stunts in some of the greatest movies and series.

Despite spending over a decade in the film industry, Chad continued to give his best as a stunt coordinator and performer.
